"Facing Europe - Facing Differences" with Frank Morawietz, experienced intercultural trainer from the French-German Youth Office. The audiences were 30 students from three different universities. The main aim of this lecture was to understand the EU integration processes (advantages and responsibilities), to increase interpersonal communication, teambuilding, and leadership skills and to initiate communication using the French – German reconciliation as example.
Debate with students of journalism of Tetovo University moderated by the journalist and university professor Salajdin Salihu on the charitable nature of the journalists work. The film "The Art of Life: Dan Eldon in Africa" a story about Dan Eldon, an artist, photojournalist and humanitarian who was killed on assignment in Mogadishu in 1993 was shown.
Public lecture of the video artist Skip Blumberg from New York on video art, with main focus on video like a tool for discovering today's heroes, making short films from stories of remarkable individuals, stories that serve to remind us that we all have the potential to overcome great obstacles and achieve our dreams by following in the footsteps of our heroes.
The intention of the public lecture of the famous American-Japanese choreographer and dancer Yoshiko Chuma was to present theatre dance as a tool of expression for addressing different realities and if such form of expression can lead toward understanding each other better. The lecture itself and the debate was done in a very special way - through demonstration / body movements and combined with video materials and later with direct debates with participant about various possibilities that this form of expression provides.
Young American visual artist, painter, installation artist and photographer Lewis Eichel had a presentation of his artistic work and debated with the local visual artists on the developments and trends in visual art in America and Macedonia.
