Exhibitions

MAC is also operating as a gallery space. Its exhibition program included exhibitions of local artists from Tetovo, guest artists form Skopje, thematic group exhibitions and exhibitions of local associations in various media like traditional painting, photography, installations and video installations.
Local artists who were presented with solo exhibitions are the painters Nevzet Bejtuli Kica (at the opening of MAC) and Bashkim Mexhiti, the young photographer Mimoza Veliu, and Burim Ukici.
In collaboration with Contemporary Art Center from Skopje exhibitions of young Macedonian artists Nikola Uzunovski, Vedran Bojanovski were set. In collaboration with the NGO Kontrapunkt from Skopje exhibition of the artist Miroslav Stojanovik Shuki from Skopje.
The Tetovo Photo Club is a long-term partner of MAC, which was venue for several of their annual exhibitions. With other local organizations, several thematic exhibitions (some as result of workshops) like the one dedicated to the women of Tetovo, were organized.
MAC was a host venue for exhibitions of the German artist Stefan Moses and the thematic photo show “Football the language of the world”.
The exhibitions are well attended and there is a genuine interest for this format in Tetovo. Some exhibitions like the annual exhibitions of the photo club attract record attendance.
